When to Seek Immediate Help

Contact your physician or go to the emergency room if you notice:

  • Fever over 101.5°F (38.6°C)
  • Excessive bleeding or drainage from incision
  • Severe pain not controlled by medication
  • Signs of blood clot (leg swelling, chest pain, shortness of breath)
